This thirteen day old sweetie is as adorable as can be and a pleasure to photograph! Here is a sneak peak of an image from the photo session I had this past Monday.
Video Coverage of Time Square Visit
Christina Beth Time Square Kodak Marquee
Time Square Kodak Marquee and Surroundings
I had the opportunity to, once again, visit the Kodak marquee at Time Square. This time I video taped the Kodak marquee, which has been displaying one of my images since December 2011. This video captures the environment around Kodak’s marquee with the addition of sound and motion. The video is available on You Tube through my ChristinaBethPhoto channel and right here at ChristinaBeth.com.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I had the opportunity to go to Time Square, New York and see one of my images and
my name in lights on the Kodak Marquee. It was only two days before the New
Year’s celebration and preparations were underway!
The crowds were thick in anticipation to the New Year. Confetti was being tested
and the staging was being set. The most exhilarating thing of all was seeing my
image displayed during the Time Square hustle and bustle! Kodak selected a
total of seven images from professional photographers that were nominated by
professional print facilities across the country. Kodak’s goal is to promote
the use of professional photographers for life’s biggest milestones. Between
the showcased images on the Kodak marquee, the following message is displayed.
“Moments that happen once shouldn’t be left to happenstance. For images this
unforgettable trust only a professional photographer. Connect with Pro
Quality.” Kodak Marquee – Times Square, New York 12-2011
This wonderful honor has motivated me to challenge myself in 2012. The timing couldn’t
be more perfect. My New Year’s Resolutions have been set and I am now on my way to
having my most professionally rewarding year ever.
I Made It to Time Square!
The print house, that prints my images, nominated one of my newborn images to Kodak’s Professional Photographer Exhibit. The exhibit is displayed on the Kodak Marquee located at Time Square, New York. My image is displayed on the marquee around every 12 minutes on the upper right side. The exciting thing is that the exhibit will run through New Year’s Eve! My eyes will be glued to the t.v., on New Year’s Eve, hoping to capture a glimpse of my picture.
In order to view my image on the Kodak Marquee, I went to EarthCam.com. They have several webcams located in Time Square. The Crossroads webcam periodically rotates to the Kodak Marquee and the site allows you to capture and share clips from the web cam. Happy New Year!
Baby’s First Cake Smashing!

This cutie came into the studio a little cranky, however things changed when I gave him a taste of frosting. He looked at me as he enjoyed his tasty sample. It was as if he was saying “okay, you got my attention…what’s next?” I placed him on the floor and I had to work quickly! The waterworks were about to start again! Immediately after that cake was placed in front of him, he stopped crying and started destroying!
PSRI President for 2011-2012 Year!
I have the honor of being this year’s President for the Photographic Society of Rhode Island (PSRI). PSRI was established in 1927. It gives photographers of all levels the ability to share their passion and expand their knowledge of the constantly changing world of photography. The club holds Board of Directors’ meetings, educational presentations, social events, inner club competitions, multi-club competitions, and also an international competition. Go to psri.us if you are interested in learning more about the club. Wish me luck on a successful 2011-2012 year as president of PSRI!
Simply Adorable!
3 1/2 year old Hailey was a pleasure to work with! We had the opportunity to work in the studio and on location. Peek-A-Boo was the game of choice in the studio. Outdoors, she enjoyed exploring the gardens. It was a pleasure to work with her and her family!
Hello World!
Hi Everyone!
Oh my how things have changed over the past decades! Back in the mid-eighties I spent many hours in a darkroom processing images. The darkroom would be the first opportunity I had to see the results of the work I have created. Today, thanks to the world of digital photography, instead of taking hours, days, and sometimes weeks to see my images it now only takes a split second!
As I take a walk down memory lane, I also remember being introduced to my first computer, the Apple Mac. I worked for a local printer as a graphic designer /paste up artist. One day the owner of the company came into my office with a box containing an Apple Mac, he placed it on the floor and said “Figure this thing out and then teach us!” Wow! I was intimidated by this new form of technology! But, I soon found it to be my best friend!
In no time, I saw the media industry transform from cut and paste boards to desktop publishing, and the photography industry transform from film to digital and from darkroom to digital post processing. Technology has completely changed the way photographers create images, process images, market their services, and communicate with the world! I remember the days of having to actually write a letter and mail it in order to non-verbally communicate with someone. Do you remember the mobile phone that came with a sling bag? That was the hottest and newest technology! Oh! and beepers? Those were cool too!
You are witnessing my first steps of communicating with the world through blogging. Yes, blogging has been around for many years, however I am finally taking advantage of this wonderful piece of technology. I think of it as a great tool to educate and communicate. When I say educate, I am not just referring to those individuals visiting my blog, but I am also referring to what I can learn from my viewers. I am looking forward to many future postings and lots of feedback! Thank you for visiting my blog and I am looking forward to developing a relationship with you!
